Most shops don’t receive money from only one UPI app. One customer uses Google Pay, the next PhonePe, another Paytm. A good UPI soundbox app watches payment notifications across those apps.
What PayEcho does
PayEcho listens for payment notifications on your Android phone and speaks the amount. You do not install three different soundbox apps for three UPI wallets.
Setup checklist
- Install PayEcho from Google Play
- Allow notification access
- Keep GPay / PhonePe / Paytm (or your collect app) able to show payment notifications
- Pick language (Hindi guide: UPI Alert Hindi)
- Do a ₹1 test from each app you care about
If one app alerts and another doesn’t
- That UPI app may be blocking notifications — open its notification settings
- Battery saver may delay background alerts — see battery guide
- Some collect flows use different notification text; keep PayEcho updated
